My Lord,

REC?
Reat 15 SEP 10
Government House,
Hongkong, 11th. August, 1910.
With reference to Your Lordship's
Circular Despatch of the 2nd. October, 1908, my attention
has been drawn to the fact that the "Chartered Mercantile
Bank of India, London and China" no longer exists and that
its successors are known by the name of the "Mercantile
Bank of India, Limited". I have, therefore, the honour to
suggest that the word "Assestollo" in Government Telegraph
Code (1908 Edition) should be taken to mean "The Mercantile
Bank of India, Limited."
I have the honour to be,
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient,
humble servant,
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
THE EARL OF CREWE,
